Here are some translations for terms that I use on this site and my understanding of the terms used in The course in miracles and also, because it’s such beautiful, symbolic language, The Bible.

I should also quickly mention that in terms of the meaning of ‘The Magick School’, ‘magick’ refers to ‘an action taken to incite change’.

Brothers and sisters: All of mankind.

Sin: A mistake which reinforces the idea that we are separate from each other. A sin is simply a mistake. We all make mistakes.

To be consistent: To not question. Be trusting, open and accepting like a child.

Atonement: At-one-ment. The spirit of mankind coming together as one. To not see myself as separate from my brothers and sisters.

Ego: Illusion.

Miracles: Truth.

Magic: Anything that feeds the illusion of the ego. For example, medicine, social status, money, naming illness, time, etc.

Spirit (or holy spirit): The thought of God which He created like Himself. Our link to God whose function it is to help us realise that we aren’t separated from our brothers and sisters.

Christ: The original state of mankind’s spirits. Our so called ‘separate spirits’ when they are unified as one.

Forgiveness: My sister created her ego and so this is a chance for me to give healing. Forgiveness comes when I look past her ego and see her spirit. I am then able to see mine.

Heart: My God self. My spirit. Love.

Intuition: My God self’s voice. My spirit. Knowledge and wisdom.

Mind: The thoughts and voice of the spirit. It can be wrong or right:

Right mind/edness: Listens to the voice of God.

Wrong mind/edness: Listens to the voice of the ego.

God: My mother and my father. Me.

Jesus: Jesus needed to be within the illusion of the body (he had to come in physical form) so that he could see illusions (he could only do this if he was one himself) and identify them for what they were. He didn’t accept them as truth so he is a …

Saviour: He saved others from their own illusions. He brought them out of their man made Hell (illusion) and into God’s Heaven (truth).

The resurrection: Shows us it’s impossible to kill the spirit when it’s known as unified with all of mankind (how Jesus knew it). Mankind’s life can’t in any way be changed by sin and evil, malice, fear or death.

Our sins have been forgiven: Our mistakes (the mistake of creating the ego) have been recognised as illusion because they carry no effects at all. Jesus rose from the dead. He proved that for us.

In the name of Jesus: In the nature of Jesus.

The immaculate conception: The ultimate example of the power of our beliefs. Mary was not a virgin. Jesus was not born of a virgin. Jesus was instead born of perfect vision. Mary held the perfect idea of her unborn son in her mind and so Jesus was born of that.

God says:

“There is no death because the son of God is like his father.
Nothing you can do can change Eternal Love.
Forget your dreams of sin and guilt, and come with me instead to share the resurrection of God’s son (rebirth of mankind’s one, unified spirit).
And bring with you all those whom He has sent to you to care for as I care for you”.
